KOMBRA-Sierra Leone

International Development:
The Young Women's Leadership Group works in partnership with Fleming College's International Trade and Marketing Programs to support KOMBRA. KOMBRA is a cdpeace project that has the goal of improving rural women's economic development in Sierra Leone. This is to help the women support children's education.

The local group of women in Sierra Leone will produce traditional tie-die textiles to market locally and internationally. They will generate income from the production and the profit generated from the product will be used to support education in rural Sierra Leone, particluarly that of young girls.

The Fleming College Programs and Community Living Peterborough's Young Women's Leadership Group and UMaMe support the women with import/export logistics, research, product development, packaging & recommendations for the Western market.
